Overview
Genome Explorer is a Java front end to many useful bioinformatics tools. It provides a single interface from which these tools can be accessed and automates a lot of 'behind-the-scenes' processes. It is provided as an executable jar file.
- ncbi-blast
- clustalw
- several phylip programs
- chromtree
- treeview
It provides additional functionality for searching sequence data (for particular groups of nucleotides or amino acids) and editing multiple sequence alignments.
